Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Launch Delayed: Sales Now Slated for March

Wait for the S26 just got a little longer. 📅 Samsung Galaxy S26 sales reportedly delayed until March 11. 📱⏳ Here’s why 👇

If you were waiting to get your hands on the Galaxy S26 series in February, you might need to adjust your plans. While Samsung’s flagship line usually dominates the January news cycle, new reports suggest the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra are hitting the brakes this year.

According to a fresh leak from Dealabs, the entire lineup won’t actually go on sale until March 11 in major European markets. It marks a significant shift in strategy for the Korean giant, who typically has phones on shelves just weeks after a January announcement.

A New Timeline for 2026

The rumor mill suggests that the Galaxy Unpacked event itself has been pushed back. Instead of a late January reveal, reports point to a February 26 launch event in France. That would mean a roughly two-week gap between the unveiling and the actual sales start date.

This is unusual territory for Samsung. To put it in perspective:

  • Galaxy S25: Launched Jan 22, went on sale Feb 7.
  • Galaxy S24: Launched Jan 18, went on sale Jan 31.

A March 11 release window makes the S26 series one of the latest "early-year" flagships we’ve seen from Samsung in quite some time.

Why the Delay? And What About the Price?

While Samsung hasn't officially commented on the cause, insiders speculate that production hurdles could be to blame. Specifically, there have been murmurs of RAM shortages affecting the broader smartphone market.

This supply constraint could also lead to a price hike for the S26 series. If production costs are up, consumers can expect the sticker prices to reflect that, though we’ll have to wait for the official announcement to know for sure.

Power Under the Hood: What to Expect

When the phones finally do drop, they are expected to pack the latest silicon. Depending on your region, the S26 lineup will likely run on either the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Samsung’s own Exynos 2600 SoC. Both chips promise significant leaps in AI and efficiency.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra: The Beast

The Ultra model is always the star of the show, and this year is no different. Leaks suggest the S26 Ultra will feature a massive 6.9-inch M14 QHD+ CoE Dynamic AMOLED screen. If you aren't a fan of the under-display cameras, you might be in luck—rumors suggest Samsung is sticking with a dedicated camera cutout to maintain image quality.

Camera buffs can look forward to a quad rear setup, headlined by a 200-megapixel primary sensor. To keep the lights on, Samsung is reportedly upgrading the battery to 5,000mAh with support for 60W wired fast charging—a noticeable upgrade over the 45W we've seen in previous Ultras.

The Base S26 and S26+

The "little brothers" are also getting some love.

  • Galaxy S26: Expected to sport a compact 6.3-inch display, a 12-megapixel selfie camera, and a 4,300mAh battery. Charging is rumored to stick at 25W.
  • Galaxy S26+: The middle child is tipped to get a larger 6.7-inch QHD screen and a beefier 4,900mAh battery with 45W charging.

While the March wait might be frustrating for early adopters, if the specs hold up, the Galaxy S26 series could be worth the patience.
