The Honor X80 is coming with a 10,000mAh battery?! 🔋😱 And the price is crazy low. Details here 👇
If you are tired of smartphones that barely last a day,
Honor might have the answer. The company is reportedly gearing up to launch the
Honor X80 in China, and if the latest leaks hold water, it is going to
be a battery beast.
With the launch seemingly just around the corner, key
details regarding the device's specifications and pricing have surfaced online,
painting a picture of a phone that prioritizes endurance above all else.
The "Eternal" Battery Life
The headline feature of the upcoming Honor X80 is
undoubtedly its power source. According to a post by the reputable tipster
Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the handset will be equipped with a massive 10,000mAh
battery.
To put that in perspective, most flagship phones today cap
out around 5,000mAh or 5,500mAh. Doubling that capacity means the X80 could
easily offer two, perhaps even three days of usage on a single charge. The
tipster also suggests that we might see other manufacturers following this
trend by the end of 2026, but Honor seems to be getting a head start.
Display and Performance Expectations
To accommodate all that battery life without making the
phone unusably thick, Honor is reportedly pairing it with a 6.81-inch LTPS
display. While the refresh rate hasn't been explicitly leaked in this
particular report, the resolution is said to be 1.5K, which should offer
sharp visuals for media consumption.
Under the hood, the device is rumored to run on a low-power
processor from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 series. While the exact model
number wasn't disclosed, pairing a "low-power" chipset with a
10,000mAh cell makes perfect sense. It’s a combination designed for maximum
efficiency, ensuring the hardware doesn't drain that massive battery too
quickly.
A Wallet-Friendly Price Tag
Perhaps the most surprising aspect of this leak is the
price. Digital Chat Station claims the Honor X80 will launch at approximately CNY
1,000. Converted to Indian currency, that puts the expected price around Rs.
13,000.
Getting a 10,000mAh battery at a budget price point could
disrupt the mid-range market significantly, forcing competitors to rethink
their battery strategies.
Successor to the X70
The Honor X80 is expected to succeed the Honor X70, which
launched in China back in July 2025. The X70 was no slouch in the battery
department either, featuring an 8,300mAh cell with 80W fast charging, a
Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, and a 6.79-inch 1.5K display.
If the X80 follows this trajectory, we can expect it to
retain the fast charging capabilities—hopefully upgrading to match the larger
cell—while upgrading the processor to the newer Snapdragon 7 series to keep
performance snappy.
While we are still waiting for an official confirmation from
Honor, the prospect of a near-Rs. 13,000 phone with a 10,000mAh battery is
certainly exciting for anyone who values battery life above all else.
