Motorola Edge 70 Coming to India Soon — Slimmer, Faster, and Cheaper Than Global Variant
Ultra-Slim Flagship Expected to Debut Mid-December
The Motorola Edge 70 is reportedly gearing up for its India
launch, with fresh leaks hinting at a mid-December debut. The smartphone was
unveiled in select global markets earlier this year as the successor to the
Motorola Edge 60, but the Indian version is said to arrive with notable changes
of its own.
According to early reports, Motorola is preparing a
significantly slimmer model for India—one that mirrors the ultra-sleek Moto X70
Air released in China in October.
Launch Date Rumoured for December 15
Well-known tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) claims the
Motorola Edge 70 is scheduled to launch in India around December 15. The
phone is expected to be only 5.99mm thick, placing it among the slimmest
smartphones on the market, directly competing with upcoming thin-profile
devices like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and iPhone Air.

The Indian variant, compared to the global variant, will have a bigger battery, but will still be 5.99mm slim, and will have a totally fresh design.

Indian Variant May Get Bigger Battery & Fresh Design
Although Motorola hasn't shared official specifications, the
Indian variant is rumoured to differ from the global model in several ways.
Leaks suggest:
- Larger
battery capacity than the international version
- Refreshed
design language tailored for Indian consumers
- Snapdragon
7 Gen 4 chipset
- 50MP
triple-camera system
- Wireless
charging support
A leaked image also shows three colour options—light green,
dark green, and black—all featuring Motorola's signature Pantone-validated
finish.
Price in India Expected Below ₹35,000
In global markets, the Motorola Edge 70 is priced at GBP
700 (approx. ₹80,000) and begins at EUR 799 (approx. ₹81,000) in
Europe and the Middle East.
However, Indian pricing could be drastically lower. The leak
claims the phone may launch under ₹35,000, which would position it
aggressively in the premium-midrange space.
For comparison, the Motorola Edge 60 currently sells in
India for ₹25,999 for its 12GB + 256GB variant.
More details are expected to surface as the launch window approaches.
