Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold May Cost Less Than Expected — New Leak Reveals Pricing
Samsung’s long-rumoured tri-folding smartphone—likely to
debut as the Galaxy Z TriFold—was quietly showcased during last month’s
APEC summit. Early reports pointed toward a very premium price, but a new leak
suggests the device may arrive at a slightly lower cost than tech watchers
initially predicted.
Featuring a G-style inward-folding mechanism, the tri-panel device is expected
to open into a nearly 10-inch display and could include a 200-megapixel
primary camera. The phone is also said to launch only in select global
markets.
Possible Pricing for the Galaxy Z TriFold
Price May Be Lower Than First Rumoured
A known South Korean tipster, yeux1122, posted
information on Naver hinting that the Galaxy Z TriFold may be priced around KRW
3.6 million (approximately ₹2,25,000) in South Korea.
This is notably cheaper than earlier whispers, which placed the price closer to
KRW 4.4 million (around ₹2,50,000).
The leak claims that an internal sales channel meeting
took place earlier this week, aligning with expectations of a potential December
launch. The foldable may arrive in a single storage configuration and
colour.
Design Highlights and Market Availability
Samsung gave a brief preview of the device at APEC,
revealing its dual inward-folding hinges capable of dividing the phone
into three segments. When fully folded, it resembles a traditional bar-style
smartphone.
Reports suggest Samsung will release the device in limited
regions, likely including South Korea, China, Singapore, Taiwan, and the
UAE. Production volume is expected to stay between 20,000 and 30,000
units, underscoring its status as a niche, early-adopter product.
