Nothing’s long-awaited Phone 3a Community Edition appears to be edging closer to its debut. Earlier this year, the company invited its global community to take part in a collaborative project, allowing fans to influence everything—from accessories and packaging to wallpapers and marketing ideas—for a special edition of the Phone 3a.
Now, the brand has released a cryptic teaser on its community page, sparking speculation that the co-created handset is finally ready to go public. While the final design remains under wraps, the internal specifications are expected to mirror the standard Phone 3a model.

A Shiny Pokémon Teaser Fuels Speculation

On November 25, Nothing posted an image featuring a shiny version of Pokémon’s Arcanine, a playful nod to its history of using Pokémon-themed teasers for major announcements. This new post strongly suggests that the Phone 3a Community Edition is the next device on the horizon.
The graphic also includes the names of the five community winners—Emre, Louis, Ambrogio, Jad, and Sushruta—whose ideas shaped the final product.

A Community-Driven Design Journey

Back in March, Nothing launched a global contest for its fans to contribute ideas for the Community Edition. Between March 26 and April 23, users submitted concepts related to:

• Hardware styling
• Accessory design
• Software and interface elements
• Wallpapers
• Marketing campaigns

The brand announced the selected creators in May, continuing its strategy of involving users directly in product development. This follows the earlier release of the Nothing Phone 2a Plus Community Edition, the company’s first co-created device.

What to Expect From the Community Edition

While the visual and packaging elements of the Phone 3a Community Edition will be unique, the underlying hardware is expected to remain consistent with the original Phone 3a launched in India in March 2025.
