“Samsung Galaxy A37 5G Appears on Geekbench With Exynos Chip & Android 16 – Specs Revealed”
A New Entry in Samsung’s A-Series Lineup
Samsung appears to be preparing the launch of its next
mid-range contender, the Galaxy A37 5G. While Samsung has not yet
confirmed the unveiling date, the device has already made its presence known
through a fresh listing on the Geekbench platform.
The benchmark entry, spotted under the model number SM-A376B, hints at
several key specifications and suggests that the Galaxy A37 5G will replace the
Galaxy A36 5G introduced earlier this year.
Galaxy A37 5G Found on Geekbench
The benchmark listing shows the SM-A376B scoring 1,158
in the single-core test and 3,401 in the multi-core performance test.
According to the details, the handset is running Android 16 and features
5.08GB RAM, which will likely be advertised as 6GB RAM on retail
units.
The listing also highlights an octa-core processor
under the codename s5e8845. Its CPU layout consists of:
- 4
performance cores clocked at 2.75GHz, and
- 4
efficiency cores reaching up to 2.05GHz.
These specifications match Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1480
chipset, indicating the company may be shifting more of its mid-range portfolio
toward internal silicon rather than Snapdragon options.
A Notable Change From the Galaxy A36 5G
If this benchmark data is accurate, Samsung’s decision to
equip the Galaxy A37 5G with an Exynos chip marks a departure from the Snapdragon
6 Gen 3 chipset used in the Galaxy A36 5G.
For comparison, the Galaxy A36 5G — launched at Rs.
32,999 for its 8GB + 128GB model — features:
- 6.7-inch
Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate
- Up to 12GB
RAM and 256GB storage
- 50MP
main rear camera, 12MP front camera
- 5,000mAh
battery with 25W fast charging
- IP67
dust and water resistance
With the A37 5G expected to refine this formula, Samsung seems set to strengthen its mid-range 5G portfolio.
