Galaxy S26 vs S25: New Leak Shows What’s Changing in 2025 Lineup
With Samsung gearing up for the official launch of the Galaxy
S26 series early next year, new leaks are shedding light on how the
upcoming models will evolve from the current Galaxy S25 lineup. A reputable
tipster has leaked detailed comparisons, highlighting where Samsung is planning
upgrades — especially for the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+.
Interestingly, both models are expected to retain several
familiar features but with meaningful refinements that set them apart from
their predecessors.
Galaxy S26 vs. Galaxy S25: What’s Changing?
Bigger Display & Battery
According to the leaked spec sheet shared by @UniverseIce,
the Galaxy S26 will sport a slightly larger 6.3-inch display, up from
the Galaxy S25’s 6.2-inch panel. The resolution, adaptive refresh rate
(1Hz–120Hz), and peak brightness (2,600 nits) are expected to remain unchanged.
The battery, however, seems to be getting a boost — upgrading
to 4,300mAh compared to the S25’s 4,000mAh pack.

Updated Processor Options
While the Galaxy S25 launched globally with the Snapdragon 8
Elite for Galaxy chip, the S26 may switch depending on region. The leak
suggests Samsung could alternate between the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
and the Exynos 2600.
Storage & RAM
Another notable shift: Samsung may drop the 128GB base
storage. The Galaxy S26 could come only in 256GB and 512GB variants,
accompanied by 12GB RAM — the same as the S25 series.
Camera Setup
The rear camera array is expected to remain unchanged:
- 50MP
primary sensor
- 12MP
ultrawide lens
- 10MP
telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom
A 12MP front camera and 25W charging are also
expected to carry over.
Design & Weight
The Galaxy S26 may slim down to 6.9mm while weighing 164g,
a slight shift from the S25's 7.2mm thickness and 162g weight.
Galaxy S26+ vs. Galaxy S25+: Subtle Refinements
Display & Build
The Galaxy S26+ is expected to retain its 6.7-inch
QHD display, with identical peak brightness (2,600 nits) and 120Hz adaptive
refresh rate. A slight weight reduction to 190g may make it feel a bit
lighter than the S25+.
Performance & Storage
Like the standard model, the S26+ may ship with:
- 12GB
RAM
- 256GB
or 512GB storage
- Snapdragon
8 Elite Gen 5 or Exynos 2600 (depending on region)
Camera System
Samsung appears to be keeping the same triple-camera setup:
- 50MP
main camera
- 12MP
ultrawide camera
- 10MP
telephoto camera with 3x zoom
A 12MP selfie sensor is also expected.
Battery Upgrade
One small but important bump: the Galaxy S26+ may feature a 4,900mAh battery, with 45W fast charging, matching the S25+’s charging power.
