Samsung One UI 8.5 Beta Timeline Leaked: Rollout Begins December 8! 


Samsung Galaxy owners may soon get their hands on the One UI 8.5 beta, as a new leak claims the rollout is closer than expected. Although Samsung has not issued an official announcement, recent reports hint at a phased global rollout. The upcoming Galaxy S26 series, expected early next year, is widely believed to ship with One UI 8.5 out of the box. A test version of the firmware was also recently detected on Samsung’s internal servers, suggesting development is well underway. The update is expected to bring Network Battery Saver, refined notification controls, and improved Pro camera preset options.

Tech tipster Tarun Vats (@tarunvats33) shared key details on X, citing internal sources familiar with the development. According to the leak:

  • Beta 1 is expected to begin on December 8
  • Beta 2 rollout is tipped for December 22
  • Beta 3 may go live around January 5, 2026

 



Regions Likely to Receive the Beta First

The first beta build is rumored to be released in four priority markets:

  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • South Korea
  • Germany

A second wave, reportedly arriving on December 22, is said to include India and Poland.

Recent test server sightings for the Galaxy S25 series—using firmware versions S938NKSU7ZYKP, S938NOKR7ZYKP, and S938NKSU7CYKP—further confirm Samsung is actively preparing the software. The stable One UI 8.5 version is expected to debut alongside the Galaxy S26 lineup, which could be unveiled toward the end of January.
