X Rolls Out Grok-Powered Feed Ranking & Slashes Premium Prices in India

X has rolled out a new update that gives its in-house AI
system, Grok, the ability to organize posts in a user’s Following
feed. Instead of simply displaying the latest posts first, X will now sort
content based on relevance, past interactions, and user preferences—unless
users choose to switch back to the classic chronological view. The update
arrives alongside a limited-time price cut for X Premium and Premium+
subscriptions in India.
How Grok Reorders Your Following Timeline
In a recent announcement on X, Elon Musk encouraged
users to update their app to experience the platform’s new AI-driven sorting
system.
With this change, posts from accounts a user follows will appear based on what
Grok believes is most meaningful or engaging, rather than strictly by posting
time. The AI considers:
- Accounts
you follow
- Your
previous interactions
- A
post’s relevance and predicted engagement
Despite the shift, Musk reassured users that they can still
return to the pure chronological feed anytime through the menu settings.
Grok also responded publicly, explaining that it will now
surface the “most engaging posts first,” prioritizing content it expects users
will want to see.

Lower Prices for X Premium in India
Alongside the new AI-powered feed, X has temporarily reduced
subscription pricing for its Premium services in India.
The X Premium subscription is currently available for Rs. 89 for the
first month, down from its regular price of Rs. 427.
This discount celebrates the third anniversary of the platform’s subscription
program and will remain available until December 2.
The Premium+ tier has also received a steep price cut
for the first month—Rs. 890, compared to the standard Rs. 2,570.
