Ray-Ban’s second-generation smart glasses built in
partnership with Meta have officially arrived in India. Initially
introduced globally in September, these AI-driven wearables are now available
locally through major online retailers and select optical stores. The new
edition brings noticeable upgrades in battery performance, camera capability,
and a wider range of frame and colour options compared to the original model.
Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 Price & Where to Buy in India
The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 starts at ₹39,900 in
India. The glasses are being offered in three signature frame styles:
- Headliner
- Skyler
- Wayfarer
Buyers can choose from fresh, seasonal finishes including Shiny
Cosmic Blue, Shiny Mystic Violet, and Shiny Asteroid Grey.
The glasses are available starting December 2,
through the official Ray-Ban India website and partnered eyewear outlets
nationwide. Meta has not yet confirmed whether prescription, polarised, sun, or
Transitions lenses will be made available for the Indian market.
Features & Specs of the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2
Refined Design With Upgraded Camera System
Although the overall look mirrors the first-generation
model, the Gen 2 glasses incorporate notable internal enhancements. They pack a
12-megapixel camera, accompanied by an LED indicator housed
within circular cutouts on both sides of the frame. The LED lights up during
active video recording for transparency.
Meta says the upgraded camera can now record crisp videos at
up to 3K resolution at 30fps, while photo capture remains at 3,024
× 4,032 pixels. Additional modes such as slow motion and hyperlapse
are scheduled to roll out later.
Conversation Focus and Audio Enhancements
A new feature called Conversation Focus uses the
built-in open-ear speakers to emphasise the voice of the person you're talking
to. The redesigned five-microphone array delivers improved clarity and
reduces background noise significantly during calls or video recordings.
Improved Battery Life
One of the biggest upgrades is battery performance.
According to Meta, a single charge provides up to 8 hours of use. The
charging case further extends usage by offering up to 48 additional hours.
