OnePlus 15R Launching in India on Dec 17 — Pad Go 2 Also Confirmed!

OnePlus has officially revealed when its next mid-range
flagship, the OnePlus 15R, will hit the Indian market. The launch event
will also introduce the OnePlus Pad Go 2, expanding the brand’s tablet
lineup. Both devices will be sold through Amazon and the company’s own online
store. Early leaks suggest that the smartphone could be among the first to run
on Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and will feature a
dual rear camera setup, while the new tablet opts for a single-camera
arrangement.
Launch Date and Colour Options Revealed
OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus
Pad Go 2 will go official in India on December 17.
The smartphone will be released in two finishes — Charcoal Black and Minty
Green.
The tablet, meanwhile, will land in Shadow Black and Lavender Drift
shades.
The 15R will join the already-launched OnePlus 15,
which entered the Indian market earlier this month.
Design, Durability, and Key Visual Features
The OnePlus 15R is built with a strong focus on durability,
packing IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K resistance ratings for protection
against dust and water.
The rear camera module adopts a rectangular layout housing two sensors.
Physical controls, including the power and volume buttons, sit on the right,
while another function button is placed on the left. The device will arrive
running OxygenOS for Indian users.
The OnePlus Pad Go 2 will support the brand’s new
stylus, known as the OnePlus Pad Go 2 Stylo, and features a minimalistic
single rear camera. The tablet will also offer 5G connectivity,
continuing the momentum of the original Pad Go that launched in October 2023.
Expected Specifications and Hardware Leaks
The OnePlus 15R is believed to be the international variant
of the OnePlus Ace 6T, which is set to debut in China soon.
Rumours indicate that the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s next-gen Snapdragon
8 Gen 5 — expected to launch on November 26.
Camera expectations include a 50-megapixel main sensor
paired with an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. Storage and RAM
configurations may scale up to 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 1TB of UFS
4.1 storage, making it one of the most powerful devices in its segment if
these details hold true.
